About the School
Tranquillity Elementary School is located in the farming community of Tranquillity in the western part of Fresno County, California. It is one of four elementary schools that serve the students in the Golden Plains Unified School District. The school serves a student population in kindergarten through eighth grade. Spanish is the language that is spoken in most homes and in the community. The school provides parent education and the district provides English classes for the families of Tranquillity. The district has a homeless liaison that works with our homeless families.
Tranquillity Elementary School is an older school. Our campus currently houses 250 kindergarten through eighth grade students. A six-foot high chain link fence surrounds the perimeter of the school. On the campus, there is a full athletic field, playground area, and a kindergarten play area. The school has a main cafeteria, which is used for food preparation. There is a computer lab for student learning and a library. In accordance with Golden Plains Unified School District's mission of increasing student achievement, promoting a positive school climate, and providing safe schools.
